Watercolor Technique for Cards
Making Sympathy Cards is tough but this Watercolor Technique is beautiful. Who says Sympathy Cards need to be boring? After completing the watercolor technique, I stamped winter trees from the Winter Woods stamp set to finish my scene. Then, I layered the whole thing with In Good Taste Designer paper and other fun card elements.
Spritz watercolor paper to get it damp, then using a water painter swoosh layers of Mango Melody, Melon Mambo, and Rich Razzleberry inks. Hint: be sure to overlap layers of ink. Keep applying ink until you are satisfied. Completely dry using heat tool or set aside and come back later.
Next, with your fingers splatter water droplets across your watercolor. Let sit for a few minutes, then blot up excess water. Allow to completely dry.
Dip water painter in a bit of Soft Suede ink then flick your painter with your finger to make splatters.
After the watercolor and splatters are completely dry, stamp your winter trees using Early Espresso ink. Hint: Stamp using the Stamparatus for a great stamped image.
Have a fabulous day,
