Wedding Favors Meant to Bee

DIY Wedding FavorsHello Friends,

I was talking to a dear friend the other day about her daughter's upcoming wedding.  So naturally, our conversation turned to DIY Wedding Favor Ideas.  I suggested that she think about using the Mini Curvy Keepsakes Dies to make her Wedding Favors.  The discussion was still on my mind when I created the Meant to Be Wedding Favors for today's blog post.

DIY Wedding Favors Tips

I started by cutting my Mini Curvy Keepsakes Boxes from Golden Honey Designer Paper (Free Sale-a-Bration Gift).  See the video at the end of this post to see just how easy these boxes are to make.

Next, I stamped and heat embossing my "Meant to Be" tags using the Meant to Bee stamp set.  After heat embossing, I punched my tags using the Label Me Fancy Punch.

To complete my tags, I stamped black and white bees using the Honey Bee Stamp set.  After they were stamped, I cut the bees out using my Detailed Bees Dies.

I wasn't quite ready to stop crafting, so using the same supplies I made a matching Anniversary Card.  The little flower was super simple to make using the Small Blossom Punch (Free Sale-a-Bration Gift).

Here's a peek at the inside of my Anniversary Card.

The Mini Curvy Keepsakes Box Dies (#150644) were carried over from the 2019 Holiday Catalog because they were so popular.  Watch the video above to see just how easy they are to put together.  I love that you can get 4 Mini Curvy Keepsake Boxes from a single 12" x 12" sheet of paper!

Happy Birthday to You

Happy Birthday to You Stampin' Up!

Hello Friends,

Do you enjoy coloring beautiful images? What do you think about free paper crafting supplies?  Meet the Happy Birthday to You stamp set by Stampin' Up!.  This gorgeous stamp set is a Sale-a-bration stamp set for 2020 which means that it can be yours for free with a qualifying order during Sale-a-Bration 2020 (January 3-March 31, 2020).  Let's take a closer look at today's projects.

Happy Birthday to You Stampin' Up!

For this first card, I colored the flowers with Rich Razzleberry Stampin' Blends.  Then, I colored the leaves with Old Olive Stampin' Blends and the cake with Petal Pink Stampin' Blends.  And finally, I colored the cake stand with Balmy Blue Blends.   Thanks to the hinged system on my Stamparatus (stamp positioning tool), I was able to stamp a stack of "celebrates" in about 2 minutes flat!

I'm really crushin' on the Stitched So Sweetly Dies.  Scallops and stitching, be still my beating heart.  Plus, the rectangular shape makes them so, so useful for cards, scrapbooks, and packaging.

Colors for my Gift Card were Flirty Flamingo, Old Olive, Pool Party, Soft Sea Foam, So Saffron and Lovely Lipstick.

My Gift box was fashioned with one half of a Kraft Pillow Box.  The colors on this project are a little softer.  They include Purple Posy, Soft Sea Foam and So Saffron.

Autumn Anniversary Card

Handmade Autumn Anniversary Card

Hello Friends,

Today's Autumn Anniversary Card started with an unlikely stamp set.  I used the Animal Outing Stamp set along with a hodgepodge of dies including Seasonal Layers, Well Written, and Stitched Be Mine.  But together they made a beautiful Autumn Anniversary Card for my son, Jonathan, and his lovely wife, Julie.

Autumn Anniversary Card Tips and Tricks

First, it's okay to mix and match your card making supplies.

I chose the Animal Outing stamp set and the Well Written dies for the sentiment.  I cut and pieced to make it say exactly what I wanted to say.  Hint:  I used my Stamparatus, stamp positioning tool and my Early Espresso Marker to stamp together on my leaves.  Using markers to ink stamps sometimes takes a couple of passes to get the ink dark enough.  That's where the Stamparatus comes in handy.

My leaves were cut with the Seasonal Layers dies using a combination of See a Silhouette Designer Paper, Perennial Essence Vellum and Mango Melody Card Stock.

My hearts were cut with the Stitched Be Mine Dies and Poppy Parade Card Stock.

The ripped background was created with my Corrugated Embossing Folder and Crumb Cake Card Stock.

Since the happy couple met while on Mission Trips in Africa, stamping the inside with the cute pair from the Animal Outing Stamp set seemed like the perfect finish.  Scroll down for a complete list of supplies to make today's Autumn Aniversary Card.
