Tropical Chic Wedding Card

Tropical Chic Wedding Card Stampin' Up!

Hello Friends,

Today's Tropical Chic Wedding Card is for my lovely niece, Tara.  I always enjoy making wedding cards, because they are happy occasions.  My Well Written dies and my Tropical Chic stamp set and dies played well together to make this beautiful Tropical Chic Wedding Card.

Tara & Coty

Tara's gorgeous dress was my color inspiration.  Just look at the gorgeous pinks, oranges and green.  I opted for Melon Mambo, Mango Melody, Flirty Flamingo and Call me Clover.

Tropical Chic Wedding Card Stampin' Up!

With 51 stamps in the Well Said stamp set and 24 coordinating dies in the Well Written die set, I can make cards for almost any occasion.

Making two-toned flowers is easy with sponge daubers and ink.  To make today's flowers, I simply inked my flower centers with Melon Mambo ink, then sponged around the outside petals of my flower with Flirty Flamingo ink.

Hey Love I'm Ape Over You

Hey Love Stampin' Up!

Hello Friends,

Joe's Birthday is just days away.  Plus Valentine's Day is next week, so I have all kinds of reasons to make him a card.  Not to mention, I think the Hey Love stamp set with all its fun lovable critters is just adorable.  The ape made me think jungles, so out came my Tropical Chic stamp set and Tropical framelits dies.  The Tropical Chic stamps and dies are just so versatile.  They can stand alone on a project or be combined with another stamp set as I did today.  I've also combined Tropical Chic with Fabulous Flamingo and Animal Outing on more than one occasion for fabulous cards.

Hey Love Tropical Chic Stampin' Up!

Isn't he just so handsome tucked in tropical foliage and flowers?

Stamping Technique

Two-Toned Stamped Flower Technique

This is a really simple stamping technique that produces fabulous results.

First, I inked the center of my flower with Calypso Coral ink using my sponge dauber.  Then, using another sponge dauber, I inked around the center with Berry Burst ink.  This is all done directly on the rubber.  The final step is to simply stamp!  To see this technique in action, click the Animal Outing link above.
