Hello Friends,
Wow, coloring the images from the Fable Friends stamp set by Stampin' Up! brought me immense satisfaction! I especially liked the ducks and the bunny, because they remind me of characters from Beatrix Potter children's books. What's not to love about Jemima Puddle-duck, Peter Rabbit and Benjamin Bunny?

I used the 3 little ducks stamp along with a treat cup to make these adorable Baby Shower favors. How would you fill them? I rounded out my project with Gala Gingham Paper and a heart cut with the Be Mine dies. My ducks were colored with Balmy Blue, Flirty Flamingo, Mango Melody, Poppy Parade, Mint Macaron and Smoky Slate Stampin' Blends.

The Happy Spring card is pure sweetness. This time I used the 3 ducks stamp along with the larger duck stamp. The stitched scalloped edge is a die from the Be Mine Framelits dies and I featured the larger duck with ovals made with the Layering Ovals Framelits Dies. My parade of ducks were colored with Mango Melody, Smoky Slate, Flirty Flamingo, Balmy Blue, Pool Party, Mint Macaron and Highland Heather Stampin' Blends.
For inquiring mines, let me tell you a little about...
Jemima Puddle Duck
The tale of Jemima begins in a farmyard which is home to a duck called Jemima Puddle-duck. She wants to hatch her own eggs, but the farmer's wife believes ducks make poor sitters and routinely confiscates their eggs to allow the hens to incubate them. Jemima tries to hide her eggs, but they are always found and carried away. She sets off along the road in her poke bonnet and shawl to find a safe place away from the farm to lay her eggs.
At the top of a hill, she spies a distant wood, flies to it, and waddles about until she discovers an appropriate nesting place among the foxgloves. However, a charming gentleman with "black prick ears and sandy-colored whiskers" persuades her to nest in a shed at his home. Jemima is led to his "tumble-down shed" (which is curiously filled with feathers), and makes herself a nest with little ado. Have you guessed who the charming gentleman might be? Hint: We have a builder punch and stamp set featuring this woodland animal. This is where the story gets interesting.

When I think rabbits and bunnies, I think carrots. What do you think? Doesn't the Calypso Coral gingham Sour Cream Container make fun carrots? I fashioned my carrots with the Petite Treats Dies.
Peter Rabbit & Benjamin Bunny
In The Tale of Peter Rabbit, Peter Rabbit wore a blue jacket, so I colored his jacket with my Balmy Blue Stampin' Blends. After Peter Rabbit lost his jacket during a frightening encounter with Mr. McGregor, Peter Rabbit and his cousin, Benjamin Bunny, venture into Mr. McGregor's garden to retrieve Peter's clothes.

Doesn't the little squirrel look handsome decked out in his sailor's outfit? I simply colored him on a 3" x 3" card and lined the flap of my little envelope with gingham paper.
