Hello Friends,

Let's take one last look at the retiring Beautiful Friendship stamp set by Stampin' Up! with 4 Card Ideas starting with a simple one layer card traveling through to a gorgeous Fancy Fold card.

How to Make This Card

Cut a 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" Thick Whisper White (item #140272) Card Base.  Score at 4-1/4".

Stamp hydrangea using Balmy Blue ink (#147105).  Stamp rose cluster using Melon Mambo ink (#147051).  Stamp smaller roses using Mango Melody ink (#147093).  Then stamp leaves using Pear Pizzazz ink (147104).  Lastly, stamp "I usually just send a text.." using Tuxedo Black ink (132708).  Bonus: If you would like to add just a little something extra, splatter a dash of Balmy Blue ink across your card front.

I honestly don't know if it is possible to make a "bad card" with the Beautiful Friendship stamp set.  This is a stamp set that you buy simply for the joy of stamping because you cannot possibly go wrong.  For this card, I started with a blank canvas of Whisper White Card Stock.

For even more stamping fun I increased the size of my card to 5-1/2" x 12".  I scored at 4" and 8", then I sliced a triangle from the front two panels for a layered Z-Fold look.

Fancy Fold Card

My biggest tip when stamping randomly with lots of stamps is to work from the biggest stamps to the smallest stamps until you are happy with the results.  Today's ink colors are Flirty Flamingo, Soft Seafoam, Poppy Parade, Highland Heather, Mango Melody, Daffodil Delight, Pear Pizzaz, and Garden Green.  The Garden Green was a marker to color the stems.

The Beautiful Friendship stamp set is only available WHILE SUPPLIES LAST or until May 3, 2021.

This cute but simple card was made with stamps, ink, and paper.  The Waterfront stamp set creates a lovely scene for the front of the card.

Sending Sunshine Stampin' Up!

Sending Sunshine for the Casual Stamper

To make this card, I inked my water stamps with Soft Sea Foam ink and layered the two stamps.  Next, I stamped the sunshine using So Saffron Ink.  I wanted a softer blue for my clouds, so I stamped off my Seaside Spray ink and then stamped my clouds.  The leaves and sentiment were stamped with Just Jade Ink.

Stamping Techniques

Masking-This technique is just what it sounds like.  We have all masked areas before painting a room.  The concept is the same for card masking.  Simply block off an area.  On today's card, I masked the bottom part of my card while building my horizon.  For masking, you can try a variety of materials such as Stamping Mask Paper, Post It Notes or card stock.

I sponged the horizon with Seaside Spray, Flirty Flamingo and So Saffron inks.  The beach area was sponged with Sahara Sand ink.

I fussy cut around the words.

Happy Thoughts Cards

Happy Thoughts Stampin' Up!

Hello Friends,

Wow!  Today's cheerful cards are so, so quick and easy to make.  I was itching to use my Berry Delightful Designer paper.  It makes my heart sing, plus I received it for Free as a Sale-a-Bration Gift.  I paired my paper with the incredible Happy Thoughts stamp set to make these two encouraging cards in mere minutes.

Happy Thoughts Stampin' Up!

The Happy Thoughts stamp set has 7 versatile sentiments in playful fonts.  To make the card above I simply stamped a sentiment from my Happy Thoughts stamp set using Pacific Point ink on a scrap of Basic White card stock, then placed it on a Pacific Point Card Base.  Then, I arranged a scrap of Berry Delightful paper and added a few Resin Hearts.  Simple!

Happy Thoughts Stampin' Up!

The seconds card is stepped up a bit, but it is still quite easy to make.  I used the same steps as the last card only this time I Heat Embossed my sentiment to make it stand out against the Granny Apple Green Card Base. I also arranged a piece of white card stock cut with the Sweetly Stitched Dies beneath my designer paper.  There's really not much more to say.  It was really that simple.
