Jar of Love for Beginner, Casual & Avid Crafters
April 18, 2019
Oh Jar of Love, it's so sad to see you go. You are a stamp set for beginner card makers, the casual crafters, and avid crafters.
Today and tomorrow, I will be giving a fond farewell to the beautiful Jar of Love stamp set and the Everyday Jars dies, because, if you haven't heard, both the Jar of Love stamp set and the Everyday dies are on the 2019 Stampin' Up! Retirement List.
Are you new to card making? Even a brand new stamper could make this cute card in minutes with the Jar of Love stamp set, pre-cut Note Cards, and Envelopes and a few inks. I stamped the jar with Smoky Slate Ink. Then, I stamped "Life feels empty without you" using a Gorgeous Grape ink pad. To finish up, I stamped 3 hearts with Calypso Coral Ink.
Are you a casual craft? Do you like to craft whenever the mood strikes you, but you would rather the project not be too complicated? Try this card. I randomly stamped 3 images from the Jar of Love stamp set with Mango Melody, Bermuda Bay, and Gorgeous Grape inks. Then, I embossed the whole thing with my Ruffled embossing folder. You could skip this part if you would rather not fuss with embossing. To finish up, I tied a bow with my Whisper White Polka-Dot Tulle.
Avid Crafters, this Jar of Love Shaker Card is for you. This card made me really sad to say good-bye to my Jar of Love stamp set and everyday jar dies. In case you didn't hear, both the Jar of Love stamp set and the Everyday Dies are on the Stampin' Up! Retirement List which means that are available WHILE SUPPLIES LAST or May 31, 2019, whichever comes first.
First, I stamp and watercolored my jar twice Bermuda Bay ink. Then, I used 2 dies from the Everyday Jars dies to cut a jar with a window. I then cut the jar two more times. First, from a piece of shimmery white card stock watercolored with Bermuda Bay Ink and then from a Window Sheet.
Then, I glued the window sheet to the back of the window jar and applied Sticky foam stripes around the rim of my jar. I then filled the center with sequins and closed the back with my watercolored jar.
Since this is a fond farewell, I didn't hold back. I stamped flowers and leaves and bows to my heart's content using Calypso Coral, So Saffron, Power Pink, and Pear Pizzazz inks.
Going, Going, Gone
