Hot Dog Make In Minutes Monday Card

Hot Dog Stampin' Up!

How to Make a Card with Stamps, Ink, and Paper

Hello Friends,

During these very uncertain times, everybody misses somebody.  So for today's Make It In Minutes Monday Card, I designed a Miss You Card using the Hot Dog stamp set from the January-June 2021 Stampin' Up! Mini Catalog.  Bonus, make this adorable handmade card with just stamps, ink, and paper!

Hot Dog Stampin' Up!

I love to stamp when I am stressed.  There's something magic about stamping.  Ink up your stamp and press it onto your paper then watch your paper come to life.  Just those few simple steps and BAM, you look like an artist!

Below I have Two Card Stamping Tips that will almost certainly ensure a successful Card Making Experience.

Hot Dog Stampin' Up!

The Stamparatus Stamp Positioning Tool covers a multitude of mistakes.  For today's card, I used it to stamp my White Ink on Poppy Parade Card Stock.  Because I used my Stamparatus I was able to stamp twice for a clear crisp stamped image.  I also used my Stamparatus to stamp my 2 dogs, bones, and my hi bubble.  This is especially important for getting the solid black inside the hi bubble.  I used acrylic blocks for stamping the rest of my images, but you could use the Stamparatus for all your stamping if you prefer.

Here's a Quick Video Tutorial for using the Stamparatus.

Tip #2, if you do miss a little line when stamping it is possible to fix your mistake with a marker.  For instance, bet you would never know that my envelope up in the corner of my card wasn't perfect.  I made a quick fix on a missed line with my marker.

How to Make a Card In Minutes

How to Make a Card in Minutes

Hello Friends,

Welcome to Make in Minutes Monday!  Today, I'll show you how to make a Miss You Card in minutes.  It's super simple the Plush Poinsettia and Plaid Tidings Designer Papers do most of the heavy lifting.

Cut a 4-1/4" x 11" Thick Whisper White card base and score at 5-1/2".

Then cut two pieces of designer paper 4-3/4" x 3-1/2".  I use Plush Poinsettia and Plaid Tidings paper.  The Plaid Tidings paper has 48 sheets of yummy plaids in each package and the Plush Poinsettia all I can say is Wow!  This flocked paper with its gorgeous designs is fairly transparent allowing the pretty plaid to peek through and dazzle us.

I stamped my Miss You sentiment with a stamp from the Blooms in Blossom stamp set and Blackberry Blis Ink onto Melon Mambo cardstock.  Then, I simply trimmed around my sentiment.

My little heart house accent piece was cut with the Home Together Dies.  That's it!  Your card is complete!

Sneak Peek Coming Home Bundle Stampin' Up!

Coming Home Stampin' Up!

Hello Friends,

I love the new August-December 2020 Stampin' Up! Catalog and I love Sneak Peeks!  Meet the Coming Home Bundle from the Trimming the Town Suite by Stampin' Up!.  While the Coming Home Bundle was definitely designed with winter and holidays in mind, it's also versatile enough to be used for many other occasions.  So for my Sneak Peeks of the Coming Home Bundle, I designed a Welcome Card, a Miss You Card, and a Welcome Gift of Homemade Raspberry Peach Jam.

Coming Home Stampin' Up!

Far Apart But Close At Heart Card

First, I die cut my red polka dot road using the Home Together Dies (item #153515) and Trimming the Town Designer Paper (item #153491).  At this point, it was only natural to add a little red card.  To make the card, I inked up my card stamp from the Coming Home Stamp set (item #153500) and then die-cut my card using the Home Together Dies.  The Mile Apart sentiment is a stamp from the Well Said stamp set (item #148796).  Note:  Thick Whisper White Card Stock (#140272) makes the best White Card Bases.

Coming Home Stampin' Up!

Welcome Home Card

This time the Trimming the Town Designer Paper covers the front of my card.  The little houses are so stinkin' cute.  Again I used the Coming Home Stamp set and Home Together Dies to fashion my card focal point.  I chose Poppy Parade, Old Olive, and Pool Party Card Stocks because they are colors included in the Designer Paper.  It so, so easy to choose project colors when they are listed in the Stampin' Up! Catalog and on the Designer Paper Pack.  Once again I snagged a stamp from the Well Said stamp set to stamp my sentiment.  The only additional tool that I used for this card was the Stitched Shapes Dies (item # 152323).  Inks used for today's cards and tags were Misty Moonlight and Early Espresso.
