A Good Man

A Good Man Stampin' Up!

To all those good fathers and future good fathers out there, Happy Father's Day!

Today's cards are simple one layer cards stamped with the A Good Man Stamp Set by Stampin' Up!.  If you love coloring, you'll love this stamp set.  The line art is beautiful and fun to color.  To make these card even simpler, I used pre-cut, pre-scored Note Cards and Envelopes.

For my Father' s Day Card, I stamped the image of father and son and colored them with some of my new Stampin' Blend colors.  Can you find the So Saffron, Gray Granite, and Seaside Spray?  My Father's Day greeting was done with the Well Said stamp set and the Well Written Dies.

I love this image of the man relaxing.  You may remember this image stamped for a Graduation Card in May.  Can't you just feel the cool water splashing up over your feet?

My final card of father and daughter was colored almost exclusively with new 2019-2012 In Color Stampin' Blends.  Can you find the Purple Posy, Rococo Rose, Seaside Spray, and Pretty Peacock?

A Good Man Stamp Set

A Good Man Stampin' Up!

Hello Friends,

With Father's Day just around the corner, I thought that it would be fun to start our crafting week with the A Good Man stamp set by Stampin' Up! to make a card.  Today's card could be used for Father's Day and beyond.  I love this simple card because it pulls together simple stamping techniques to make a fabulous card.

A Good Man Card Making Tips

The first technique is coloring.  Oh, how I love my Stampin' Blends for coloring line art images.  I used Night of Navy, Pumpkin Pie, Soft Sea Foam, Petal Pink, Daffodil Delight and Crumb Cake Stampin' Blends to color my fellows.

To add some texture to my background, I used embossing paste and my brick stencil to add some textured bricks to my card base.  The is an old technique that adds a lot of punch.  Simply apply the paste over the stencil, remove the stencil and allow to dry.  You can speed up the drying process with your heat tool.

The third technique is super duper simple.  I stamped my sentiment on 3 different card stocks and simply cut around the words that I wanted on each color.  I then arranged them for a pleasing colorful display.

Sailing Home Stampin' Up! Sneak Peek

Sailing Home Stampin' Up!

Hello Friends,

I just love this time of year!  The flowers and the trees are bursting with color.  The birds are happily singing their bird songs.  Even the frogs have a happy, hello spring song.  And...it's Sneak Peek time which means that I get to share some of my beautiful new playthings from my craft space.  Today, I'm sharing the handsome Sailing Home Bundle from Stampin' Up! which will be available starting June 4, 2019.

Sailing Home Stampin' Up!

Just look at the collection of stamps and dies offered in the Sailing Home Bundle.  The nautical stamps are all so beautifully detailed.  And the dies not only coordinate with the stamps, but there are also plenty of extra fun dies too like the sea plants, the long rope, a rope knot, a banner, arrows, and stitched sentiment shape.

Sailing Home Card Tips and Tricks

I stamped the row of square knots using my Stamparatus and the hinge method.  It was super simple and it makes a fun border.

My anchor was cut from a Champagne Foil Sheet and tied it with the new Night of Navy/Sahara Sand Bakers Twine.

I cut my sea plants from two different colors-Mossy Meadow and Old Olive-for a little flair.

I stamped my lighthouse using Whisper White Craft Ink on Night of Navy Card Stock to brighten the background.

I love hearing from you.  What's your favorite stamp or die from the Sailing Home Bundle?

Have a fabulous day,
