Bits and Pieces of Designer Paper Can Make a Big Difference

Hello Friends,

Sometimes life's little predicaments can leave you in a bind. Yesterday, I spent some time mowing trying to tidy up the place before cooler weather arrives and I ended up stuck in a ditch. Oopsie! Thankfully a neighbor came by with his tractor and quickly freed my mower from the ditch. Naturally, the occasion calls for a Handmade Thank You Card with a little bit of humor.

The Back On Your Feet stamp set comes in handy for situations like this. Love the humorous little turtle awkwardly flapping around on his back. I colored him with Old Olive and Cinnamon Cider Stampin' Blends, then added just a dash of Balmy Blue for his eyes.

Bet you would never guess that the designer paper that I used was actually Holiday Paper. It's called Heartwarming Hugs. The gingham and polka dot prints stretch across all seasons. Just a few little scraps of paper along with a coffee filter dressed up my card nicely.

Happy Birthday You Old Goat

You can say things to a brother that you would never, never ever say to a Daughter-In-Law!

Hello Friends,

Today, I am once again using the same two stamp sets that I used to make last Friday's Birthday Card. The big difference is that today's Birthday Card is for my brother and trust me, I can say things to my brother that I would never ever say to my Daughter-In-Law! I switched up the designer paper to make today's card more masculine, but the biggest difference is that today's birthday card says, "Happy Birthday You Old Goat".

Both birthday cards were personalized with the Playful Alphabet dies. Melissa's Birthday Card was personalized with letters and Mark's Birthday Card was personalized with numbers.

For lots of happy colors and patterns, I carried the Plaid Tiding paper through to the inside of my card. Birthday Humor can be fun, even still, I softened the humor just a bit on the inside of his card. He really is a terrific brother.

This is a great way to use pretty scraps of paper plus it looks fabulous!

The stamp sets that I used to make both cards were the Way to Goat and the Itty Bitty Birthdays by Stampin' Up!.

Way to Goat

Hello Friend,

You're the G.O.A.T. (Greatest of All-Time)! Love the Way to Goat stamp set with its fun humor and cute goats. Today's card is super simple. The stamped images and the Flowers for Every Season Designer were cut with the Layering Ovals Dies.

I chose the pretty Flowers for Every Season Designer paper specifically because it includes all 5 new Stampin' Up! In Colors for 2020. It was also a great excuse to play with a few of my new In Color Stampin' Blends. My goat was colored with Cinamon Cider. His yummy flower was colored with Magenta Madness and Just Jade and the old tin can was colored with a splash of Misty Moonlight.

June is also my birthday month and it's a birthday that ends in "0".
