What Does Snow Day Mean to You?

Hello Friends,
Funny how 2 little words can mean 2 completely different things depending on your perspective.  Take the words SNOW DAY, for instance.   Do those words spark the same delight as my grandson, Grady, expresses in his video?
Colorful Seasons Stampin' Up!
Or are your thoughts more in tune with this "just breathe" card?   Stamping supplies can be like that too.  This sunny "Just Breathe" card was made with the same supplies as ....
Colorful Seasons Stampin' Up!
this "Have a wonderful Adventure" card.   Using the same supplies and I made two totally different cards.  Which one do you relate to best? When you hear "Snow Day" announced on the radio or across your T.V. screen, what's your reaction?  Are you curious what today's card supplies were?
Card Making With Robin Feicht

Card Design Tips

Both cards were stamped using the Sea of Textures and the Colorful Seasons stamp sets along with their coordinating dies, Under the Sea and Seasonal Layers.  I limited myself to 3 inks: Tuxedo Black, Gray Granite and Balmy Blue.

My Paper choices were also limited.  I used Gingham Gala Designer Paper along with Balmy Blue, Gray Granite and Thick Whisper White card stock.

I used 3 additional supplies to make my cards.  Dimensionals gave my cards the extra pop that they needed.  Gingham Gala Adhesive-backed sequins and Silver & Pool Party Baker's Twine brought in the party and the shine to my cards.

Extra Card Design Tip:  For the Snowy Adventure Card, I splattered Gray Granite ink across my card front to bring it to life.

Be Mine Scrapbook Layout

Hello Friends,

If you were here yesterday, you know that I made a card with the Be Mine Framelits Dies from Stampin' Up! and that I was so impressed with the dies that I wanted to try a Scrapbook Layout.  You may also notice that today's You Make Me Smile Scrapbook Layout looks a lot like yesterday's card only expanded with a picture of my granddaughter, Sadie.

Be Mine Stampin' Up!

Scrapbook Design Tips

There are just so many beautiful dies in the Be Mine Framelits die set.  I simply cut a variety in mostly Whisper White with a touch of Flirty Flamingo and Vellum thrown in for good measure.  The white on white looks so classy with just a pop of color.

Are you one of those people that struggle with choosing which side of the designer paper to use?  Here's a thought.  I used both sides of my All My Love Designer Paper making my title bar.  I cut Sadie's name with my Large Letter Framelits Dies, then used the reverse side of my paper to make my band.

You Make Me Smile Scrapbook

Sadie's surprised look picture looks adorable all by itself, but to add just a little interest, I ran the picture through my Big Shot with my Rectangle Stitched Framelits Dies.

Here's 2 Tips for using vellum on your Scrapbook pages.  Because vellum is a nonporous surface, stamp with Jet Black Stazon ink.  I used a sentiment from the Colorful Seasons stamp set.  The second tip involves ninja tricks for securing vellum without leaving telltale adhesive marks.  Tuck the vellum behind something that is solid like I did with my card stock.  Then place your adhesive on the vellum behind the card stock.

Speaking of hearts, I want to thank you for all your thoughts and prayers for my Dad.  He is doing well after a 5 Bypass Surgery.

Good-bye Holiday, Hello Occasions

Meant to Be Stampin' Up!

Hello Friends,

Today marks the very last day to order retiring stamps and other products from the 2018 Stampin' Up! Holiday Catalog.  If there is something that you don't want to miss, today is your last chance.  But that also means that tomorrow, January 3 opens the all new Stampin' Up! Occasions and Sale-a-bration Catalogs.  To wet you whistle, today's Blog Post has 6 Sneak Peeks for the 2019 Occasions Catalog set to begin tomorrow.

Today's card could be a Valentine or it could be a Wedding Card or it could be an I Love You Card or it could be an Anniversary Card.  It's made with the Meant to Be stamp set, the Be Mine Stitched framelit dies, the Rectangle Stitche Framelit Dies, the All My Love Designer Series Paper and the All My Love Card Stock Pack.  There's also one more Sneak Peek on the inside that I will share later in today's post.

Meant to Be Card by Robin Feicht

Occasions Sneak Peeks

Be Mine Stitched Framelits Dies-We have all seen fun heart dies before, but the new Be Mine Stitched Framelits Dies rock my world.  Just look at that fancy dancy heart frame!  And the heart frame next to it will cut out both a solid heart and a a Stitched heart outline.  See them both in the Crumb Cake Card Stock above.  Just look at that fun scalloped stitched edger.  Ooh, La, La!  There's so much more in this set of 16 dies.  These are just 3 highlights.

Rectangle Stitched Framelits Dies-The possibilities are endless with this 13 piece Rectangle Die set. Large to small, you'll want to use them all.

Meant to Be Stamp Set- The Meant to Be Stamp set can be bundled with the Be Mine Stitched Framelits die.  Love all the pretty coordinating images and the fun fonts.  And best of all the Meant to Be Stamp set is a new Clingy, Cling stamp set.  No more stamps falling off block with Cling Stamp set.  They are the same quality red rubber as the old clear mount stamp sets, but the new cling design will delight you with a cling stamp that won't fall off your blocks.

All My Love Designer Series Paper and All My Love Card Stock Pack meansHearts and florals in classic romantic colors (Crumb Cake, Flirty Flamingo, Lovely Lipstick, Soft Sea Foam, Whisper White and Balmy Blue).  The Card stock pack has 8 sheets each of Crumb Cake, Flirty Flamingo and Lovely Lipstick.  You can also cut out some images using the Lovely Flowers Edgelits dies.

This Meant to Be card may be all hearts and loveliness on the outside, but inside I just had to have a little fun with the last Sneak Peek of the day, the Hey Love stamp set.  Isn't the smiling Ape hugging the heart just so stinkin' cute?  Those of you that are familiar with our family history know that we started with 6 rough and tumble sons.  Over the years with have added 5 beautiful Daughter-In-Laws, 9 Grandsons and  5 Granddaughters, but our beginning were very masculine and the lovable ape is a humorous way of remembering how it all started.  The photo was taken at our first wedding.  Pictured left to right:  Bryan, Ben (the groom), Jonathan, Bob, Andrew, Jeremiah.

Note:  The happy anniversary stamp is from the Itty Bitty Greetings stamp set.Freshly Made SketchesA Big Thanks to Freshly Made Sketches for today's card sketch.  It was a great jump start for today's card.

Have a fabulous day,
