Back On Your Feet Shadow Box Card

Back On Your Feet Stampin' Up!

Hello Friends,

I'm back again with another Shadow Box Card.  My previous Shadow Box Card was a feeling good sort of card featuring the Animal Outings stamp set.  The tables are turned.  Today's Shadow Box Card is more of a down on your luck kind of card featuring the Back on Your Feet Stamp Set.  Either way, I love that Shadow Box card offer so much dimension and yet the still slide easily into an envelope for mailing.

New Wonders Double Pop Up Card Tutorial

Double Pop Up CardHello Friends,

Have you seen the New Wonders Hostess Stamp set?  A stamp set this cute just begs for a Pop Up Card, so why not make it a double.  And the good news is that this Double Pop Up Card will sail through the mail because it flattens and fits into an envelope.  How cool is that!

Watch this video for tips and trick for making a Double Pop Up Card.  As a bonus, I also threw in some coloring tips for coloring these little cuties.

Did I mention that the New Wonders stamp set is an exclusive Hostess Stamp Set?  What does that mean?  It means that it is only available with orders of $150 or more.  You need to purchase it with your hostess rewards on larger orders.

This handmade is sweet enough on the cover, but it's what's on the inside that makes you go, WOW!

Check You Out Bookmark

IMG_3823

Hello Friends,

Some of you may have heard that my husband lost his job last week.  Now that we have digested that, it's time for some encouragement.  So naturally, I turned to my Craft Room.  Today's handcrafted bookmark is for Joe.  It features the new Check You Out photopolymer stamp set by Stampin' Up!.

Love the little owl with his glasses, the worm with his bow tie and even the old-fashion library card!  It's a whole lot of cuteness.

To make my bookmark masculine, I used the Come Sail Away Designer Paper and manly colors.  I used the colors listed on the Come Sail Away Designer Series Paper Pack as a starting point, then added a few colors of my own.  My Check You Out Bookmark colors are Tuxedo Black, Sahara Sand, Soft Suede, Terra Cotta Tile, Night of Navy and Balmy Blue.  And then I threw in a snippet of Crushed Curry Crinkled Seam binding for one last pop of color.

I did some fussy cutting to make the pocketed library card, but the owl on the stack of books was die cut with the Stitched Rectangles Dies.  To make the top of my bookmark.  I used the Detailed Trio Punch.  What a handy tool for any craft room.

The video from the Stampin' Up! office demonstrates how to use the Detailed Trio Punch and why it's so cool starting at about 29 seconds into the video.

Speaking of videos, I did some rearranging on my Stamping Country YouTube Channel this past weekend to make it easier for you to find relevant video tutorials.  Check it out.  And if you haven't already, be sure to Subscribe.
