Forever Fern Brick & Mortar

Forever Fern Stampin' Up!

Hello Friends,

I love ferns!  My garden attests to that.  I have various ferns in my landscape.  I even included several mini ferns in my Fairy Garden this year.  So when I saw the Forever Fern Bundle by Stampin' Up!, I knew that I would have to have it.  Today, I let my imagination run wild and used unexpected colors to ink my ferns.  Can you name the colors?

Just Jade, Bumblebee, Balmy Blue, Rich Razzleberry

Next, I stamped and cut a bouquet of ferns and planted them on my Brick & Mortar wall.  My tag was cut with the Stitched So Sweetly Dies and trimmed with a Bumblebee Gingham Bow.  For one last dash of color, I added some Whale of a Time Sequins.

Let Hope Be Your Anchor

Sailing Home Stampin' Up!

Hello Friends,

Let's make a card of encouragement and hope today!  The "Let Hope Be Your ANCHOR Through The Storms of Life" sentiment is a stamp from the Sailing Home Stamp Set and it fits so well with what's happening in our crazy 2020 world.

Let's talk about the details.

Let Hope Be Your Anchor

The fresh blue and white striped designer paper is from the Come Sail Away Designer Series Paper Pack.  All the die cuts except for the net were cut with the Smooth Sailing Die Set.  The fun net was cut with a die from the Under the Sea Die Set.  Do you remember last week's Cuteness on Overload Pocket Card?  The white triangle is leftover from that project.

Some Sail Away Memories and More

While I was settling on today's blog post project, I was thumbing through my Come Sail Away Memories and More Packet and found something that just had to be framed.  It certainly goes along with today's Let Hope Be Your Anchor Card.

Stay Encouraged and Have a Fabulous Day!

5 Hold on to Hope Card Techniques

Hold on to Hope Stampin' Up!

Hello Friends,

Today's card made with the Hold on to Hope stamp set and the Cross of Hope Dies says it all.  It seemed appropriate for Easter, Passover and these unprecedented times.  I used 5 Card Techniques to make today's card.  Can you guess what they are?

Hold On To Hope Card Techniques

  1. Isaiah 46:4 was Heat Embossed.
  2. The embossed verse resisted the inks that I sponged and rubbed across the face of my card.  Hence, the technique is called Emboss Resist.  Colors from bottom to top are Melon Mambo, Flirty Flamingo, Daffodil Delight, and Balmy Blue.
  3. The cross was die cut with the Cross of Hope Dies and "Hold on to Hope" was die cut with the Stitched Rectangle Dies.
  4. The stamped vines were highlighted with a White Chalk Pen.  Highlighting dark stamped images is easy with a White Chalk Pen.
  5. The purple ribbon draped over the cross was dyed with my Dark Highland Heather Stampin' Blend.  You can dye a white ribbon to any color you want with Stampin' Blends or inks.

Have a blessed weekend,
