Child's Play Gnome For the Holidays

Gnome for the Holidays Stampin' Up!

Hello Friends,

I love hanging out with my grandchildren.  Five of our grandchildren hung out at our house this past weekend.  It was so much fun.  Children really know how to enjoy the moment.  Oh, how I love the sounds of their laughter and joy as they play a game, help in the kitchen, or make a new craft project!  So for today's Make It In Minutes Card, I chose a card that involved stamping and coloring with the Gnome For Christmas stamps.  Yes, technically it did take more than minutes to make today's card, but I consider my time coloring to be playtime, so does it really count?

Gnome for the Holidays Stampin' Up!

The Gnome for Christmas has so many fun, whimsical images to color.  I chose happy bright colors such as Granny Apple Green, Poppy Parade, and Seaside Spray to keep the theme of my card playful.  Use your favorite coloring tools and just color.  It's very therapeutic.  My coloring tools of choice are my beloved Stampin' Blends.  After coloring, I simply cut a Poppy Parade mat and a Granny Apple Green Card Base.  I couldn't resist rounding a few corners with my Trio Punch.  After all, using punches is child's play.  I know that my Grandchildren love using Nana's punches.

Charlie Brown Christmas Tree Plus 2 Inside Scoops

Charlie Brown Christmas Tree Card

Hello Friends,

Welcome to another Make It In Minutes Monday!  For today's Make It Minutes Card I was going for a Charlie Brown Christmas Tree look, simple with a little bit of whimsy.  Keep reading I have two inside scoops for you today.

Peaceful Boughs Stampin' Up!

To make my Charlie Brown Christmas Tree I simply stamped a bough from the Peaceful Boughs stamps.  Then I added one little Red Foil Bell cut with the Sounds of the Seasons dies. Lastly, I stamped a simple red "Merry Christmas" from the Cherish the Season stamp set.  Now about those two inside scoops.

Inside Scoop #1

I wasn't particularly pleased with my first attempt at stamping the front of my card.  Oopsie!  But it really wasn't such a big deal.  I simply flipped my card inside out and stamped it again. This time I was quite pleased with the results. Yay!  Plus, my fix on the inside looks even better than I originally planned.   My fix was just a simple piece of card stock stamped with a beautiful red sentiment and a lovely pine bough.

Inside Scoop #2
