Shaker Cards for Baby

Hello Friends,

What more fun than making a Baby Card?  Making Baby Shaker Cards.  Two friends are awaiting the arrival of their new granddaughter and great-granddaughter, so I thought that I would shake things up by making Baby Shaker Cards with the Animal Outing stamp set by Stampin' Up!.

The woven threads sequins are simply dazzling beneath the window.

The Purple Posy Kangaroo and the Flirty Flamingo Koala only add to the fanciful appeal of this Baby Shaker Card.

Best Shaker Card Tips & Tricks

Strategically adhere a few assorted sequins in permanent positions before adding your window and shakers.

Foam Adhesive strips give the added height needed for the shakers to move freely.

Dust the inside of the window with an Embossing Buddy before assembling your card.

The Take a Pick Tool is a must-have tool for picking up sequins and other small objects.

Get Well Pop-Up Card

Back On Your Feet Stampin' Up!

Hello Friends,

For today's Get Well Pop-Up Card, I paired two unexpected stamp sets to convey my message with a card.  On the front, the Back on Your feet stamp set acknowledges the pain, but the inside is filled with encouragement as I switched to the Let It Ride stamp set.

Let It Ride Stampin' Up!

Both sentiments are stamps from the Back On Your Feet stamp set.  I colored my images with watercolor pencils.  The pop-up feature on the inside of my card gives the horse a bit animation

The video tutorial below shows how to make pop-ups in cards.

The card in the video is a Double Pop-Up Card, but the concept can easily be adapted for a single pop up such as the horse in today's Get Well Card.

Nautical 3-Dimensional Card

Sailing Home Stampin' Up!

Hello Friends,

Today's nautical 3-dimensional card is a sinch to make, plus it will fold flat in an envelope for mailing.  Start with 2 pieces of 8-1/2" x 4-1/4" card stock.  I used Night of Navy and Seaside Spray for today's card.  Score at 3/4" and 1-1/2" from each end.  Fold and secure ends.   There is a wiggly little bonus feature on today's card.  Can you guess what it is?

Sailing Home Stampin' Up!

The sailboat is mounted on a strip on window sheet so that it will wiggle when opened or moved for a fun bonus feature.  To make the window I cut a hole with my Stitched Rectangle dies.  For a nautical themed card, I used the  Sailing Home stamp set and Smooth Sailing Dies.
