3 Nothing's Better Than and Beautiful Autumn Projects

Beautiful Autumn/Nothing's Better Than Stampin' Up!

Hello Friends,

It looks like this week's binge bundle is the Nothing's Better Than Bundle.  Today, I paired the Nothing's Better Than Bundle with the Beautiful Autumn Bundle to make 2 cards and 1 bookmark.  Yesterday, I paired the Nothing's Better Than Bundle with the Jar of Flowers Bundle to make this Gift Box.  Stay Tuned, Friday's Card Tutorial will make you hungry.  Yum! Yum!

Colors for today's projects are Merry Merlot, Soft Sea Foam, Gray Granite, Mossy Meadow, Early Espresso, and Rococo Rose.  Note:  The Rococo Rose Ink was too dark for my cup, so I stamped off once for the perfect cup and saucer color.  You may also want to stamp off the Mossy Meadow Ink for the acorn cap.

I'm lovin' the little retro cup and saucer from the Nothing's Better Than Bundle.  Paired with the Beautiful Autumn Bundle, it makes a quick and easy bookmark.  Note:  The sentiment was originally one long sentiment.  I snipped it into smaller segments to fit the whimsical bookmark style.

My final card started with a precut and scored Note Card and Envelope.  All I had to do was stamp and punch to make this adorable smaller card.

Make in Minutes Encouraging Bookmarks

Back On Your Feet Stampin' Up!

Hello Friends,

Do you ever feel like this?  Do you know someone who is feeling like this?  Everyone feels like this little guy sometimes.  Life can sometimes be rough.  Today's Make in Minutes Monday card is actually a bookmark.  They are a wee bit beyond just simple stamping, but I think that you will find that they are super easy and quick to make.  In fact, I cranked out 12 of these encouraging bookmarks very quickly this morning.

Bookmark How To's and Supplies

To keep things simple, I only used one ink color (Just Jade Ink #153115) on all my bookmarks.  Secondly, I chose my ink color based on my designer paper, Flowers for Every Season Designer Paper #152486.

Cut each Thick Whisper White (#140272) bookmark 5-1/2" x 2-3/4".  Cut each designer Paper piece 2-1/2" x 3" and adhere to bookmark.

Next, using the Back on Your Feet stamp set (#149385) and Just Jade Ink stamp the little sloth at the top of each bookmark.

Then, using the Just Jade Ink and the Ridiculously Awesome stamp set (#152512) stamp "you got this, then punch with Rectangle Postage Stamp Punch #152709.  Adhere to front.  Flip over to the backside and stamp "let your faith be bigger than your fear".

Top off your bookmarks with the Detailed Trio Punch #146320 (corners and an oval hole for ribbon).  Thread a  piece of Just Jade ribbon through the hole and tie it off with a piece of Misty Moonlight/silver baker's twine (Flowers for Every Season Ribbon Combo Pack #153620).

Check You Out Bookmark

Hello Friends,

Some of you may have heard that my husband lost his job last week.  Now that we have digested that, it's time for some encouragement.  So naturally, I turned to my Craft Room.  Today's handcrafted bookmark is for Joe.  It features the new Check You Out photopolymer stamp set by Stampin' Up!.

Love the little owl with his glasses, the worm with his bow tie and even the old-fashion library card!  It's a whole lot of cuteness.

To make my bookmark masculine, I used the Come Sail Away Designer Paper and manly colors.  I used the colors listed on the Come Sail Away Designer Series Paper Pack as a starting point, then added a few colors of my own.  My Check You Out Bookmark colors are Tuxedo Black, Sahara Sand, Soft Suede, Terra Cotta Tile, Night of Navy and Balmy Blue.  And then I threw in a snippet of Crushed Curry Crinkled Seam binding for one last pop of color.

I did some fussy cutting to make the pocketed library card, but the owl on the stack of books was die cut with the Stitched Rectangles Dies.  To make the top of my bookmark.  I used the Detailed Trio Punch.  What a handy tool for any craft room.

The video from the Stampin' Up! office demonstrates how to use the Detailed Trio Punch and why it's so cool starting at about 29 seconds into the video.

Speaking of videos, I did some rearranging on my Stamping Country YouTube Channel this past weekend to make it easier for you to find relevant video tutorials.  Check it out.  And if you haven't already, be sure to Subscribe.

Have a fabulous day!
