Pedal to the Metal Plus Stampin' Up! Inside Scoop

Pedal to the Metal Stampin' Up!

Hello Friends,

Let's put a little spring in it!  This is a very old, tried and true technique for adding springy dimension to your card.  I used this Pop-Up Spring Technique with the Pedal to the Metal stamp set to add movement to my pickup truck.  The Petal to the Metal stamp set is retiring is only available WHILE SUPPLIES LAST or until June 2, 2020.  Scoop it up quick if you would like to add this masculine stamp set to your stash.

Now about that spring...

Either punch or die-cut a circle that will fit behind your image then cut a spiral like the one pictured below.  Attach one end of the spiral to your image and then attach the other end of the spiral to your card.  It's that simple!

Beautiful Friendship Stamps for the Joy of Stamping

Beautiful Friendship Stampin' Up!

Hello  Friends,

I honestly don't know if it is possible to make a "bad card" with the Beautiful Friendship stamp set.  This is a stamp set that you buy simply for the joy of stamping because you cannot possibly go wrong.  For today's card, I started with a blank canvas of Whisper White Card Stock.

Beautiful Friendship Stampin' Up!

For even more stamping fun I increased the size of my card to 5-1/2" x 12".  I scored at 4" and 8", then I sliced a triangle from the front two panels for a layered Z-Fold look.

Fancy Fold Card

My biggest tip when stamping randomly with lots of stamps is to work from the biggest stamps to the smallest stamps until you are happy with the results.  Today's ink colors are Flirty Flamingo, Soft Seafoam, Poppy Parade, Highland Heather, Mango Melody, Daffodil Delight, Pear Pizzaz, and Garden Green.  The Garden Green was a marker to color the stems.

The good news is that the Beautiful Friendship stamp set #149252 will carry over into the new 2020-2021 Stampin' Up! Catalog!  The Beautiful Friendship stamp set works well for the beginner stamper, the seasoned stamper and everyone in-between.

Heads Up!  Basic Crafting Supplies Not in New Catalog

I just thought that I would alert you to some basic crafting supplies that will no longer be available once the 2020-2021 Stampin' Up! Catalog rolls out in June.

Here's what's going away!

Stamparatus Plates-It's so handy to have a few extra Stamparatus plates.  Plus, it's a good idea to have a backup plate or two in case you break one.

Embossing Buddy-This is a heat embossing staple.  An embossing buddy is a must-have tool for prepping your card stock before heat embossing.

Stampin' Pierce Mat- I like to use these babies when I stamping with photopolymer stamps for added cushion and a better-stamped image.

Half Wide Stamp Cases-These cases are fabulous storage solutions.

Variety Pack 12" x 12 Pocket Pages-If you are a scrapbooker, Pocket Pages make scrapbooking made quick and easy.

Stampin' Blends sold individually- When the new catalog goes lives our beloved Stampin' Blends will only be sold in combo packs.  If you have certain markers that you use a Lot, you may want to stock up.

1/2" Circle Punch and 1" Circle-These are handy punches to have around.  Plus, if you like Punch Art, they are essential tools.

Perennial Birthday Stamp Set-Which kind of card do you send out most often?  Chances are your answer was Birthday Cards.  The Perennial Birthday stamp set has become my go-to stamp set for great birthday wishes.  Plus, it's a great stamp set for quick and easy cards.
