Personalized Double Z Fold Baby Card

Over the Moon Stampin' Up!

Hello Friends,

Our newest grandson was born late last week, so naturally, I set to making a handmade Baby Card.  It's a Double Z Fold Card featuring retiring, carryover, and new stamps and dies.  I love that I could personalize Baby Hudson's Card using my Large Letter Framelit Dies. These dies are fabulous for oh so many things.   I will be sad to see these dies go.  They are only available about a week more or WHILE SUPPLIES LAST.

Would you like to meet Baby Hudson and learn How to Make Double Z Fold Cards?

How to Make a Double Z Fold Card

Cut Card Base 4-1/4" x 11".  Score at 2-3/4" and 5-1/2".

Cut a second strip of card stock measuring 2" x 11" to form the second "Z".  Score at 2-3/4" and 5-1/2".

Hint:  The second Z will go the opposite direction of the card base as shown in the picture above.

The Double Z Fold Card is 3 dimensional, but it will fold to tuck neatly in an A-2 or medium envelope.

Personalized Baby Card

You'll be happy to know that the This Little Piggy stamp set is carrying over to the new Stampin' Up! Catalog.  And you will be doubly happy to know that there is a super cute new farm animal stamp set with cows that will coordinate with the This Little Piggy stamp set.  The Over the Moon stamp set and the This Little Piggy stamp set play well together.

Scrapbook Layout

Large Letter Dies aren't just for card making, they work equally well for Scrapbooking and Memory Keeping.  Just look at how they work for scrapbook Titles!

Eclipse Card Technique

One of my favorite techniques that works oh so well with the Large Letter Dies is the Eclipse Technique.  Click Here to learn How to Do the Eclipse Technique.

Large Letter Dies Going, Going, Gone.  If you would like to add the Large Letter Dies to your Craft Room Stash, order soon.  They will only be around through June 3 or WHILE SUPPLIES LAST.

Expectant Mother Cards

Wonderful Moments Stampin' Up!

Hello Friend,

There's just something sweet about Expectant Mother cards and I love the pregnant mama stamp in the Wonderful Moments stamp set by Stampin' Up!.  We love to send baby cards, but why not send a handmade card before the birth of the baby?  We are expecting a new grandson in June, so this card will be mailed out to my sweet daughter-in-law, Bethany.

Pregnant Mama Card Tips

Everything is white except for a few accents to highlight the pregnant mama.

The added texture from the Ruffled Embossing Folder and the stitched rectangle bring the white to life.

Hint:  When coloring the mama, leave just a teeny bit of white to highlight her baby belly.

Wonderful Moments Stampin' Up!

Most of today's card supplies will be carrying over to the new Stampin' Up! Catalog, but the Ruffled Embossing Folder and the Night of Navy Gingham Ribbon are on the Stampin' Up! 2019 Retirement List and will only be available WHILE SUPPLIES LAST.  Want to make this card?   For your convenience, I've listed all of today's cards supplies at the bottom of this post.

Color Throwdown

Thanks to Color Throwdown for today's playful color combination of orange, yellow and blue.  For accents, I used Calypso Coral and Pineapple Punch Happiness Blooms Enamel Dots.  Night of Navy is my feature color.  I colored her dress Night of Navy and, just for fun, I added a bit of Night of Navy Gingham Ribbon.

Fable Friends Baby Card

Fable Friends Stampin' Up!

Hello Friends,

Yes, I know that I have been crushin' on the Fable Friends stamp set.  I just can't help myself.  The bunny and the ducks are so stinkin' cute.  Today's Darling Baby Card sports the bunny from the Fable Friends stamp set and a Punch Art Picket Fence.

Fable Friends Stampin' Up!

Watercoloring Peter Rabbit

Last week, I showed you how to color Peter Rabbit with Stampin' Blends. For today's card, I tried my hand at watercoloring.  With aqua painter in hand, I watercolored his fur with Crumb Cake ink.  His jacket was colored with Tranquil Tide Ink and his facial accents were colored with Powder Pink Ink.  The buttons were colored with Fresh Fig Ink.  Then, I splashed Balmy Blue ink around my bunny and behind my fence.  As a finishing touch, I splattered Fresh Fig Ink.

Making a Punch Art Picket Fence

To make my white picket fence, I punch 5 strips of Whisper White with my Classic Label Punch.  I then trimmed one end of each.  The bottom 3 vertical fence pieces were popped up with Mini Stampin' Dimensionals.  Then, I adhered the 2 horizontal fence pieces.

To make the cascading flowers, I used the Bitty Blooms Punch Pack and 2017-2019 In Color Card Stock.

Freshly Made Sketches

A Big Thanks to Freshly Made Sketches for today's card sketch.

Retirement

Saying Good-bye to Berry Burst, Powder Pink, Tranquil Tide, Fresh Fig and Lemon Lime Twist

Turning the page to April means that the retirement list will be announced on April 15, 2019.  There some things that we know will be on that list and they are anything with the 2017-2019 In Colors.

Once the list is announced, things begin to fly off the shelf.   Scoop up and Retiring In Colors or anything that includes retiring In Colors and earn a free Sale-a-bration Gift or two?
