Have a fabulous day,
Have a fabulous day,
Hello Friends,
Welcome to day 4 of Hey Birthday Chick. Today we'll use the Hey Birthday Chick Bundle to make 4 Cards using the Highlighting Technique. This is an easy Card Making Technique. Using this technique I was able to make a stack of 4 cards highlighting different chicks each time. Which chick is your favorite chick? Tell us in the comments.
For our first card the Wacky Feathered Chick steals the show.
Each card started with a black and white background which I stamped with my Stamparatus and the Hey Birthday Chick stamp set, then I trimmed the panels with my largest Stitched Rectangle die. That was easy! Add a Thick Basic White Card Base and we are off and running.
Card #2 emphasizes the Birthday Chick. For this one, I simply cut around my colored chick using her die from the Birthday Chick Die Set (158200).
Card #3 is a Baby Card with the little Hatching Chick. To accomplish this I did pull in one additional stamp set for the Welcome Baby Sentiment (Moving Along stamp set).
Last, but not least, the Dancing Chick take the lead. She was colored with Mango Melody, Daffodil Delight and Poppy Parade Stampin' Blends. Then, I framed her using the Layering Circle dies and Poppy Parade Card Stock.

Have a fabulous day,
Hello Friends,
Today's card was definitely designed as a Baby Card, but as I look at it I see that it could easily fit other occasions too. It could be congrats for any sort of child's accomplishment such as earning a new belt in a Karate Class or getting all A's. The Zany Zebras stamp set by Stampin' Up! makes such simple and fun cards for both babies or children.
Such a whimsical card deserves a little bling and sparkle, so tucked a jumble of Gold Cord behind my energetic zebra and sprinkled a few sequins to dance across my card.
How to Customize a Card
I chose to use my Playful Alphabet Dies for today's Baby Card for two reasons.
Reason #1-I wanted to make a big bold statement, so I cut "WOW!" from Coastal Cabana Cardstock. Then, I stamped Congratulations with a stamp from the A Grand Kid stamp set.
Reason #2-I simply wanted to say, "A Grandson" on the inside, but I didn't have a stamp that said what I wanted to say. To playfully say, "A Grandson", I cut an A using my Playful Alphabet dies, then I picked up a snippet of plaid paper leftover from the front of my card to use as a mat, and finally, I stamped a sentiment that had the word "grandson" in it and simply snipped around the word that I wanted to use.
Have a fabulous day,
