Cherish the Season

Hello Friends,

Every year I set aside time to watch the It's a Wonderful Life Movie with James Stewart and Donna Reed.  It's a classic.  My favorite quote from the movie is "Every Time a Bell Rings An Angel Gets Its Wings".  So when I saw the cute bell dies (Sounds of the Season Dies) and the Every Time a Bell Rings quote in the Christmas Mean More stamp set, I knew that I would use them together to make cards and tags.  The Christmas card above is my first attempt using the bells and the Every Time a Bell Rings stamp.

Here's a close up of the Sounds of the Season Dies.  I cut the bells from the Red & Green Foil Sheets.  The dies are everything I thought they would be and more!

Every Time a Bell Rings Card Details

Cut a 4-1/2" x 11" Thick Whisper White Card Base, then score at 5-1/2".  Cut a 4" x 5-1/2" piece of Plaid Tidings Designer Paper.

Cut a stitched Scalloped rectangle using the Stitched so Sweetly Dies, then using Shaded Spruce Ink stamp the pine boughs (Cherish the Season stamps).  Add your foil bells.

Cut a Stitched Shapes Oval, then stamp "every time a bell rings an angel gets its wings" using VersaMark Ink.  Sprinkle with Gold Embossing Powder and heat emboss using your heat tool.

Just for fun run a row of crinkled seam binding across your card, then tuck some gold chording behind your sentiment.
