Have you ever received a handmade card? Hand stamped cards bring a delightfully warm feeling that somebody cares. After all, they took the time to make a card to send to your mailbox. All that to say, handmade Sympathy Cards are the way to go. It's like sending someone a hug through the mail.
Magnolias & Birch Sympathy Card Tips
I love the light, wispy look of today's card. Even though there are layers of pretties, the card remains fresh and clean. The key is to make your card elements soft and light.
I colored my magnolias with just a hint of Petal Pink. The Magnolias are from the Good Morning Magnolia stamp set.
The heartfelt heart was cut with the Stitched Be Mine Dies and stamped with the Well Said stamp set.
The "sympathy" was cut with the Well Written dies and pretty colored vellum (Perennial Essence Vellum).
The birch background was stamped with the Birch Background stamp and Gray Granite ink. Hint: I used my Stamparatus to stamp my birch background. Using the Stamparatus allows me to restamp any areas that I may have missed without having to line up my stamp once again.
I edged the birch panel with a Petal Pink stitched scalloped trim cut with the Stitched Be Mine Dies.
