Happy Birthday Chickadee, Good-bye Swirly Bird
April 15, 2019
Hello Friends,
First of all, today's the day. The Stampin' Up! Retirement List will be announced today at 1 PM Mountain Time. You might be surprised by what's on the list. Stop back this afternoon and I'll share the list. This time of year always really exciting because of all the new crafty things coming up in the Stampin' Up! Annual Catalog, but it also makes me a teeny bit anxious because I know that some of my crafting supplies will land on the Retirement list. So it's a time for hellos and a time for good-byes.
While we are waiting for the "list" to be announced, let's have a little fun with the Swirly Bird stamp set and the Swirly Scribbles dies. My Sister's birthday is this week. Such an occasion calls for a handmade birthday card.
Cardmaking Tips and Tricks
I cut and colored Swirly Scribbles with my Stampin' Blends. I used happy spring colors. Can you spot the Granny Apple Green and the Pineapple Punch? They go so well with the retiring Lemon Lime Twist. Saying good-bye to the Gingham Gala Designer Paper makes my heart go boo hoo.
For a little shine, I cut the nest from the champagne foil paper and added Gingham Gala adhesive-backed sequins.
To say Happy Birthday, I used my Well Said stamp set and Well Written dies.
I'm not sure when and why I started calling Jill chickadee, but it stuck. To personalize Jill's birthday card, I spelled out Chickadee with my Make a Difference stamp set.
