Waterfront Stamp Set, The Stamper's Dream

Waterfront Stampin' Up!

Hello Friends,

If you love to stamp, you'll love the Waterfront stamp set.  Grab some ink.  You can't go wrong.  The Waterfront stamp set is a stamper's dream.  And...some of your other favorite stamp sets such as Lovely As A Tree, Winter Woods and Rooted in Nature play nicely with the Waterfront stamp set to make an even better scene!  Today, I paired it with the Rooted in Nature stamp set.

Waterfront Stampin' Up!

For today's card, I started with some Soft Suede ink and stamped some  mountains and then I continued stamping around them.  There's so many different possibilities.  Your card will look different every time you stamp!

What do you think?  Would you like to see a video tutorial using this stamp set?

Waterfront Stampin' Up!

Can you name all the colors used on today's card?  Here they are in no particular order: Soft Suede, Whisper White, Mossy Meadow, Garden Green, Powder Pink, Smoky Slate, Balmy Blue, So Saffron and Tuxedo Black.

Freshly Made Sketches

This Week's Freshly Made Sketches card sketch inspired me to cut my stamped scene into 3 panels to create what looks like a panoramic arrangement of photos.

Wishing You Well Hand Stamped Card

Wishing You Well Stampin' Up!

Hello Friends,

Autumn officially arrived last week and what says autumn better than bundles of wheat?  Today's card is super simple to make.  All you need is the Wishing You Well stamp set, the Corrugated Dynamic Impressions Embossing Folder, the Classic Label Punch and a bit of card stock and ink.

Wishing You Well Stampin' Up!

Two things really wow me about this card.  The little bow that looks almost real.  Did it fool you?  Believe it or not, that bow is stamped with Merry Merlot ink and a single stamp from the Wishing You Well Stamp set.  Isn't it fabulous?  The second thing is the Corrugated Embossing Folder.  Just look at that corrugated panel!

Wishing You Well Stampin' Up!

Bike Ride Bundle Picture Tutorial

Bike Ride Stampin' Up!

Hello Friends,

Today's blog post is a result of a customer request.  She was confused on how to use her Bike Ride stamp set and the her Build a Bike Framelits.  Let's start with a picture tutorial of how to use the Stampin' Up! Bike Ride Stamp set and then we'll finish up with 3 more Bike Ride Projects.

Bike Ride Stampin' Up!
Bike Ride Stampin' Up!

Let's talk about building the bike.  It's made up of 3 main elements-the frame and 2 wheels.  Stamp the frame.  You can also stamp color in the seat, pedal and the handholds or leave them white as I did in the picture.  Next stamp 2 wheels.  Note there is a stamp, to add color to the wheel rim.  Then, cut with dies to prepare for assembly.

Here's what the bike looks like assembled.  The back rack, basket and tassels bike extras.  You can assemble your bike with or without them.

Bike Ride Stampin' Up!

Now it's time to add the fun stuff.  Find the images that you want and stamp the outline first.  The Bike Ride stamp set is designed to be a two-step stamp set.  That means that each out line stamp has one or more stamps to ink in the images.  You can color the outlines with these stamps or, if you enjoy coloring, you may prefer to color them with markers.  Each outline stamp has matching dies.  There are also extra dies for cutting pennants and a butterfly.

Mix and match as your imagination leads you.  Below, are 3 more projects using the Bike Ride Stamp Set and the Build a Bike Dies that you may enjoy.
