Why are sympathy cards so hard to make? Should they be sad or should they be cheerful? Maybe we just over think it. The important thing is to send a card and say that you care. Today's Sympathy Card was made with the Country Home and the Better together stamp sets with just a hint of the Buffalo Check stamp set peeking from behind.
I must say that I experienced immense pleasure every time, I color images from the Country Home stamp set. Love the whole farmhouse feel. I especially like the way my pitcher turned out. I colored it with a mixture of Night of Navy, Smoky Slate and Cajun Craze Stampin' Blends to give it a rusty, dusty look. For the bouquet, I used Old Olive, Granny Apple Green, Soft Suede, Blackberry Bliss and Cherry Cobbler Stampin' Blends. All Stampin' Blends are available here.
For my sentiment, I stamped it with Versamark ink onto Vellum Card Stock and heat embossed it with Gold embossing Powder. Then, I cut a second gold foil oval to highlight the gold. The crisp white embossed background was accomplished with the Layered Leaves Dynamic Impressions Embossing Folder. And I must say, the dynamic impression embossing folders really do leave quite an impression. Just look at that lovely background!
