Today's blog post is a result of a customer request. She was confused on how to use her Bike Ride stamp set and the her Build a Bike Framelits. Let's start with a picture tutorial of how to use the Stampin' Up! Bike Ride Stamp set and then we'll finish up with 3 more Bike Ride Projects.
Let's talk about building the bike. It's made up of 3 main elements-the frame and 2 wheels. Stamp the frame. You can also stamp color in the seat, pedal and the handholds or leave them white as I did in the picture. Next stamp 2 wheels. Note there is a stamp, to add color to the wheel rim. Then, cut with dies to prepare for assembly.
Here's what the bike looks like assembled. The back rack, basket and tassels bike extras. You can assemble your bike with or without them.
Now it's time to add the fun stuff. Find the images that you want and stamp the outline first. The Bike Ride stamp set is designed to be a two-step stamp set. That means that each out line stamp has one or more stamps to ink in the images. You can color the outlines with these stamps or, if you enjoy coloring, you may prefer to color them with markers. Each outline stamp has matching dies. There are also extra dies for cutting pennants and a butterfly.
