National Vascular Birthmark Day
May 15, 2017
Today, May 15th, is the first ever National Vascular Birthmark Awareness Day. Which of course, means that it's time to make a card for the occasion, but more importantly, let's put heart shaped "birthmarks" on our cheeks for Vascular Birthmark Awareness. I'll share details about the today's card in just a bit, but first let me share our story.
Our precious grandson, Levi, was born almost 3 years ago with a Port Wine Birthmark on the left side of his face, but that has not changed his sunny disposition in the least. Levi with his ready smile is a little bundle of energy and mischief. And he always brings a smile to my heart. Life is beautiful!
Here's Levi, Julie (his Mama) and Lincoln (his brother) celebrating National Vascular Birthmark Awareness Day together. I suspect that Dad is behind the camera, so he's celebrating too. Lincoln has always been a bit jealous that Levi has a birthmark, so he was delighted to have a birthmark for a day.
Today's card gives one last hurray for the fabulous Love you Lots and Suite Sayings Stamp sets. Both sets are on the Retirement List so their days are numbered. The Love You Lots stamp set is a hostess set, so it is only available to order on orders over $150. The little frog was stamped on a piece of the Eastern Palace designer paper and fussy cut.
Not everything is retiring. The Scribbly heart is was cut with a die from the Sunshine Wishes Dies and the Soft Sky Stitched Square was cut with the Stitched Shapes dies.
And the fun Lemon Lime Twist Envelope was fashioned with the Envelope Punch Board. The Lemon Lime Envelope should be a real stand out in the mailbox.
This Card Sketch from Freshly Made Sketches gave me just the jump start that I needed for this morning.
Have a fabulous day,
Fun colors and a fun image! Thanks for joining us at Freshly Made Sketches this week!
