Christmas Magic & Sunshine Sayings

Christmas Magic & Sunshine Sayings

 Hello Friends,

Today's cards pair the Christmas Magic & the Sunshine Saying Stamp Sets.  Yes, I said cards, because I made 2 Cards today.  It was just too hard to choose between Mr. Snowman and the handsome steam engine.  Besides we have love ones living all over the United States and a card is a great way to send them love & hugs.

Sending Love & Hugs Card

Jeremiah & Grady

Sweet Grady set up this picture of he and his daddy.  He even gathered the camera, before asking his mom to snap the picture.  Grady and Jeremiah live far away in Wyoming and we miss them so much, so we love really appreciate this photo.

Such a grand gesture calls for a card.  Which card do you think that they would enjoy the most?  The sweet snowman or the handsome train?  Cast your vote in the comments of this post.

And now I have a few Card How to's to share with you.

I used the Masking Technique to create the colored circle around my snowman and train.  Masking is really quite simple.  It's a lot like stenciling.  Cut a mask.  Position your mask and a sponge ink in the opening.

My sentiment was 3 different stamps from the Sunshine Saying stamp set.  To position them exactly where I wanted them, I used my Stamp-a-ma-jig (a must have tool for your stamp room). Click Here for a Stamp-a-ma-jig How to Video

Banners for Christmas & Pretty Pines

Banners For ChristmasHello Friends,

Today, I went for a rugged or natural look Christmas Card.  I used the Banners for Christmas Stamp set and the Pretty Pines Dies from the 2016 Stampin' Up! Holiday Catalog.  Together, they make a handsome Christmas Card.

Merry MondayA Big Thanks to Merry Monday for this week's Masculine Christmas Card Challenge.

Pretty Pines

Making a Masculine Christmas Card

I stamped my Merry Christmas Banner with Basic Gray and Cherry Cobbler Inks, then cut it out with the coordinating Bunch of Banners Framelits Dies.  Love this die set!  It's so classic and it coordinates with not only the Banners for Christmas Stamp set, but also the Banners for You stamp set, the Birthday Banners Stamp Set, the Basket for You Stamp Set, the Time of the Year Stamp Set and the One Wild Ride Stamp Set.  Wow, that's a lot of coordination!

I also stamped the big, bold candy cane from the Banners for Christmas stamp set and fussy cut it.

The beautiful evergreens and pinecones were cut with the fabulous Pretty Pines Framelits Dies.  Love all the detail.

Continuing with my masculine theme, I embossed the Kraft background with the Cable Knit Dynamic Embossing Folder.

Christmas Magic

I hopped on over to the Christmas Magic Stamp set to finish my card inside and to go all out on my masculine Christmas Card theme.

Punch Art Grinch

Grinch Christmas

 Hello Friends,

Today, I'm going to show you how make a Punch Art Grinch for Christmas using a few unexpected stamp room tools in an unexpected way.  Do you know a Grinch or two who would enjoy this Grinch Who Stole Christmas Tag?

Grinch Jar of Haunts

Just because Halloween is long past, doesn't me that I am through with my Jar of Haunts stamp set.  The eyes are just begging to be made into a Grinch.  Tip:  Color the Whites of the eyes with the Chalk Marker first, then layer on a hint of yellow with your Daffodil Delight Marker.

Grinch Punch Art

Grinch Punch Art

I used just 2 punches and 2 Stamps sets to create this Punch Art Grinch.

The Jar Of Haunts stamp set creates most of his face. I did need to hand sketch his mouth with a Basic Black Marker.  Then, I punched his head with the Acorn Builder Punch.  His neck is the cap from the Acorn Punch.

His santa hat and neckline were stamped with the Jolly Friends stamp set.  I punched both with the coordinating Jolly Hat Punch.

Stamp a second fluffy hat ball onto Gumball Green Card stock and cut in half to make his nose.

Mojo Monday

Julee from Mojo Monday Card Sketches is right.  Square elements make this card cute.  Shh!  Don't tell the Grinch, who stole Christmas!
