Because every two year old or soon to be two year loves Elmo and Spinner Cards are just plain fun!
Our precious granddaughter, Brooke, will soon turn 2, so I naturally wanted to make her a birthday card that she would thoroughly enjoy.
Elmo spins quite well, making it difficult to capture a picture without him spinning around and around. Elmo was made using the Layering Circles Dies. Hint: His mouth is a circle cut in half. His Eyes and Nose were punched with the 1/2" Circle Punch and the Owl Builder Punch.

Measurements for Treat Box
I like this one because it's still a nice size box, but I can get 4 box bottoms out of one 12" x 12" sheet of card stock.
1-1/4" + 3-1/2" + 1-1/4" = 6
Don't Forget the "smidge".
Top (Candy Cane Lane Designer Series Paper)
3/4" + 3-1/2" + 3/4" = 5
Have a little fun with the inside too. I stamped "WISHING YOU A SEASON AS SWEET AND JOYFUL AS THE FRIENDSHIP WE SHARE." on the bottom of the box. Fill it with treat and as the supply dwindles the secret message will be revealed. How cool is that! And what about that reindeer? He is just so stinkin' cute!
Yes, I did shamelessly copy the 2 card directly out of the Stampin' Up! Holiday Catalog. Why not? First, there is the cuteness factor and second, it was quick and easy. Stampin' Up! has so many amazing samples. Copy them, change them a little or change them a lot. It's ok. It's called casing.
Measurements For Card Gift Box
1-1/2" + 4-3/4" + 1-1/2" = 7-3/4"
1-1/2" + 6" + 1-1/2" = 9"
Don't forget the "smidge".
1" + 4-3/4" + 1" =6-3/4"
1" + 6" + 1" = 8"
Donna's Template really does work for any box. Try it! If you love to give the gift of cards, you'll love making this little box.
