How to Make Sliding Barn Door Cards
March 03, 2018
Hello Friends,
Do you love Barn Doors? Do you love Slider Cards? Today, we'll combine the two to make 6 super cute Barn Door Slider Cards. Here's a Step by Step tutorial on how to Make Barn Door Slider Cards and a half dozen samples to get you started. This blog post was originally planned for Friday, but technically difficulties got in the way. Hopefully it was worth the wait, thanks for your patience. This first card was made with the Barn Door Bundle and the Hardwood Background Stamp. Watch the Video below to Learn how to make this fun card.
Inks and Papers for cards above are Crumb Cake, Cherry Cobbler, Basic Black, Whisper White Card Stock; Early Espresso and Daffodil Delight Ink; Old Olive and Daffodil Delight Markers.
Love this soft Barn Door Wedding Card! The Card Base is Soft Sky Card Stock. I embossed the front with the Simple Stripes Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. I stamped on Wood Textures Designer Paper to make the door. Because designer paper is thinner, I backed my door with a piece of card stock. I borrowed the sentiments from the Beautiful Bouquet Stamp Set.
Inks and Papers for card above are Soft Sky, Whisper White, Basic Black Card Stock; Wood Textures Designer; Paper, Marina Mist, Powder Pink and Crumb Cake Ink.
I simply couldn't resist adding a dragon to at least one of my Barn Door Slider Cards. I colored him with Calypso Coral Stampin' Blends and a Emerald Envy marker. Then, I made him shine with a few swipes of my Wink of Stella Brush. For a castle look, I embossed with the Brick Wall Textured Impressions Embossing Folder and made a Wood Textures Door.
Inks and Papers for card above are Basic Black, Smoky Slate, Emerald Envy, Whisper White Card Stock; Wood Textures Designer Paper; Tuxedo Black Momento Ink; Emerald Envy, Calypso Coral, Peekaboo Peach Marker; Calypso Coral Stampin' Blends.
This card is similar to my original Barn Door Card. I went with Basic Gray instead of Crumb Cake to compliment my Cherry Cobbler Barn Siding. To make the rough siding look, I stamped with the Hardwood Background stamp. The Anniversary sentiments are from the Beautiful Bouquet Stamp Set. It says, "Love isn't in the Falling. It's in the Staying There, Happy Anniversary".

To make a primitive looking Barn door card I focused on Textured Wood Designer Paper and Early Espresso Card Stock. Because designer paper is thinner than card stock, I backed the Wood Texture designer paper with card stock.
