Today's card was a lot of fun to make. Since the first time I saw the Nature's Poem Designer Paper, I knew that I would use this paper with the cute giraffe from the Animal Outings Stamp Set. I even cut an extra Scalloped Oval. So cute, doesn't this paper remind you of a giraffe?
I've been on a real coloring jag with the addition of my new Stampin' Blends Markers. Today, I colored the leaves with a mix of Granny Apple Green and Call Me Clover. Mr. Giraffe was colored with a mix of Pineapple Punch, Calypso Coral and Soft Suede.
To finish off my card, I used two of my favorite embellishments-Leaf Ribbon and Frames Elements.

This is a crazy busy time of year with graduations, birthdays, retirements, weddings, take your pick. But there's one thing that they all have in common. They are all a perfect excuse to cue the confetti and make a card. I'll get back to how you can transform this card for any of these occasions later in the post.
But first let's talk about today's happy color combination. Today's Cue the Confetti Card was stamped with the Picture Perfect Birthday stamp set, I used varying shades of Coastal Cabana, Highland Heather, Pineapple Punch, Lemon Lime Twist and Melon Mambo inks. Hint: To make the inks a shade lighter, simply "stamp off". Which is a fancy way of saying stamp first on scrap paper and then onto your project.
I know that I told you that I would lay off my new favorite dies, Stitched Labels Framelits Dies for awhile, but you'll simply have to indulge me another day. I can't stop myself. These dies rock!
Do you see the fun designer paper peeking out from behind my stamped panel? That's the new 2018-2020 In Color Designer Series Paper in Pineapple Punch.
The Picture Perfect Birthday stamp set is available now, but you'll have to wait just a wee bit longer to get your hands on the Stitched Labels dies and the In Color Designer Paper. The 2018-2019 Stampin' Up! Annual Catalog begins June 1, 2018 at noon Mountain Time.
Now about adapting this card to the occasion at hand. You can use stamps from the Picture Perfect Birthday stamp set to keep with the birthday theme or you can venture out to other occasions with the new Itty Bitty Greeting stamp set. Hint: The inside of your card is also a perfect excuse to clean up those extra paper scraps from your table and put them to use right away. I cut my inside panels 3-3/4" x 5". I can simply insert the one that I need next.

Do you love Barn Doors? Do you love Slider Cards? Today, we'll combine the two to make 6 super cute Barn Door Slider Cards. Here's a Step by Step tutorial on how to Make Barn Door Slider Cards and a half dozen samples to get you started. This blog post was originally planned for Friday, but technically difficulties got in the way. Hopefully it was worth the wait, thanks for your patience. This first card was made with the Barn Door Bundle and the Hardwood Background Stamp. Watch the Video below to Learn how to make this fun card.
Inks and Papers for cards above are Crumb Cake, Cherry Cobbler, Basic Black, Whisper White Card Stock; Early Espresso and Daffodil Delight Ink; Old Olive and Daffodil Delight Markers.
Love this soft Barn Door Wedding Card! The Card Base is Soft Sky Card Stock. I embossed the front with the Simple Stripes Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. I stamped on Wood Textures Designer Paper to make the door. Because designer paper is thinner, I backed my door with a piece of card stock. I borrowed the sentiments from the Beautiful Bouquet Stamp Set.
Inks and Papers for card above are Soft Sky, Whisper White, Basic Black Card Stock; Wood Textures Designer; Paper, Marina Mist, Powder Pink and Crumb Cake Ink.
I simply couldn't resist adding a dragon to at least one of my Barn Door Slider Cards. I colored him with Calypso Coral Stampin' Blends and a Emerald Envy marker. Then, I made him shine with a few swipes of my Wink of Stella Brush. For a castle look, I embossed with the Brick Wall Textured Impressions Embossing Folder and made a Wood Textures Door.
Inks and Papers for card above are Basic Black, Smoky Slate, Emerald Envy, Whisper White Card Stock; Wood Textures Designer Paper; Tuxedo Black Momento Ink; Emerald Envy, Calypso Coral, Peekaboo Peach Marker; Calypso Coral Stampin' Blends.
This card is similar to my original Barn Door Card. I went with Basic Gray instead of Crumb Cake to compliment my Cherry Cobbler Barn Siding. To make the rough siding look, I stamped with the Hardwood Background stamp. The Anniversary sentiments are from the Beautiful Bouquet Stamp Set. It says, "Love isn't in the Falling. It's in the Staying There, Happy Anniversary".
Inks and Papers for card above are Basic Black, Basic Gray, Cherry Cobbler, Whisper White Card Stock; Basic Gray, Crumb Cake, Powder Pink, Early Espresso Ink.
To make a primitive looking Barn door card I focused on Textured Wood Designer Paper and Early Espresso Card Stock. Because designer paper is thinner than card stock, I backed the Wood Texture designer paper with card stock.
Inks and Papers for card above are Basic Black, Early Espresso, Smoky Slate, Whisper White Card Stock; Wood Textures Designer Paper; Early Espresso, Tranquil Tide, Dapper Denim Ink.
