OnStage Display Stamper Projects Day 1 Animal Outings

Animal Outing Stampin' Up!

Hello Friends,

I let out a little squeal when I received my Display Stamper box of top secret products for the Milwaukee  Stampin' Up! April OnStage Event.  The box was brimming with lots of cool new crafting toys, but my favorite thing of all was the Animal Outing Stamp Set.  The sketches are absolutely adorable and so fun to color and the sentiments were so versatile.  Possibilities began rolling through my head.  As much fun as it was to create with the Animal Outings stamp set, it was equally torturous to not share them with anyone because I love to share.  But the time of secrecy is over which means now it's time to share these Sneak Peeks of products in the upcoming 2018-2019 Stampin' Up! Annual Catalog.

For those of you that don't know what OnStage is it's an amazing Stampin' Up! Event for Stampin' Up! Demonstrators.  We get the inside scoop on things coming, the new catalogs, special ordering privileges, time to catch up with old friends and meet new friends and have lots and lots of fun.   As a Display Stamper, I made samples for the sample boards.  BTW,  the Milwaukee OnStage Event was a blast!

I ended up making 9 projects with the Animal Outing stamp set.  The first 2 projects are Baby Gift Box and a Wild About You Card.  The gorgeous designer paper is Nature's Poem Designer Series Paper and the greenery was cut with the Tropical Thinlits dies.

I simply couldn't resist making a Sliding Barn Door with the charming hippo and his bird pal.

The giraffe, kangaroo and hippo were just begging to be made into a window card.  The little frog on a branch stands alone one the narrow note card.  Did you notice the fun leaf ribbon?

The Kangaroo with the Koala in her pocket celebrates our differences and shows how much we need each other.  They also made a fun stamped background for my scrapbook page of my granddaughter, Lacy.

I had to make at least a few projects with watercoloring and a bit of splattering.  The sentiment is from a stamp set that I'll feature on Day 2.  The sweet little wooden embellishments that I used on numerous project is called Frames Elements.

My name plate was an excellent excuse to use the popular Eclipse Technique.  The fun washi tape is Best Route Washi Tape.  So what do you think?  Are you loving the Animal Outing stamp set as much as I do?

April OnStage Display Stamper & Stampin' Up! Catalog

Animal Outing Stampin' Up!

Hello Friends,

It's been so hard keeping it a secret.  I was an April Onstage Stamper. It was so fun getting some products early and making samples, but it was agonizing keeping everything top secret.  I like to share.  The Milwaukee OnStage Event was a blast!

I'll be sharing all the projects that I made in the future, but for today I wanted to share my name plate and one other card.  I used the ever popular Eclipse Technique, the new Animal Outing stamp set that will be available with the 2018-2019 Stampin' Up! Annual Catalog, and the Large Letters Framelit dies.  See the Eclipse Technique on my YouTube Channel Here.

I fell in love with the Animal Outing stamp set as soon as I opened my box of goods.  What's not to love?  The illustrations are beautiful and the animals as so fun!  Did you notice that there's a koala in the kangaroo's pocket?  That says to me that though we may be different, we work well together.  The picture says it all, no sentiment required.

And what about that charming rhino and his little bird friend?  Or the frog on the branch?  Love it, love it, love it!  I colored all my animals with my Stampin' Blends and oh my, are they ever fun to color!

Here's another card, because I simply couldn't leave out the giraffe.  He's so adorable.  If you look closely, there lots of other new products included in these projects.  How many can you find?  Stop back tomorrow, I'll be talking all about colors-What's Leaving, what's staying and what's new!  I'll also have a lot to say about the new ink pads.

New from Stampin' Up! the We Must Celebrate

We Must Celebrate Stampin' Up!

Hello Friends,

It's a busy time of year with holiday prep.  There's presents to wrap, cookies to bake and shopping to be done.  But it sure is great to sneak in a little play time in your stamp room.  Today, I'm playing with the "We Must Celebrate" stamp set from the upcoming Stampin' Up! Occasions Catalog.  I knew as soon as I saw this stamp set that I would have to have these little guys.  They're just so stinkin' cute!

We Must Celebrate Stampin' Up! Occasions Catalog 2018

I have a confession to make.  I started off coloring my little creatures in realistic colors, but I got bored with that idea.  These fun little guys deserve some color.  So I pulled out my Stampin' Blends and started coloring.  The results are much happier.  I used Calypso Coral for Mr. Squirrel, Pool Party for raccoon.  Then, I went with 2 colors for the cutie patootie bear.  I colored his belly with my light Cherry Cobbler Stampin' Blend and I color the rest of him with my Daffodil Delight pair.  Little bunny has shades of Pink Pirouette and Smoky Slate.

To continue with my happy color theme, I stamped my sentiment 3 times on 3 different card stocks-Daffodil Delight, Pool Party and Calypso Coral.  Then, I snipped different words from each color.

Freshly Made SketchesI flipped this week's Freshly Made Sketches card Sketch on its side for today's card layout.  Washi Tape becomes the long, skinny piece behind.
