Quick Simply Stamped Waterfront Card

IMG_1837

Hello Friends,

I was pleasantly surprised at how easy it is to make a beautiful card with the Waterfront Stamp  set.  It makes me wonder what would be possible if I actually spent some quality time with this stamp set.  I've been under the weather for the last several days, so it's a quick straight stamping card for today.

Waterfront Stampin' Up!

Every bit of this card is simple stamping.  The clouds were made by adding Balmy Blue Ink to the outer edges of a stamp with a sponge dauber.  The sun was stamped with Daffodil Delight Ink and the mountains were stamped with Smoky Slate Ink.  The ground was stamped with Gray Granite and Mango Melody inks.  I quickly found that they looked better if I stamped off first, for a lighter shade of ink.  The trees were stamped with Shaded Spruce Ink.  The trees in the background are a stamp from the Waterfront Stamp set, but the trees in the foreground are a stamp from the Lovely As a Tree Stamp Set.  The sentiment is a stamp from the Sunny Days stamp set.  I really love both the font and the sentiments in the Sunny Days stamp set.

Have a fabulous day,

Homes for Haiti Card

Sunny Days Stampin' Up!

Hello Friends,

I recently heard  story of a small boy who wanted to help raise money to build a home for a family in Haiti, so he set up a lemonade stand and raised $200 towards that Haiti Home.  That story so warmed my heart and naturally I had to make a card.  I used the adorable new Sunny Days Stamp Set by Stampin' Up!.

Sunny Days Stampin' Up!The Sunny Day stamp set is just so stinkin' cute with its playful fonts and whimsical images.

Sunny Days Stampin' Up!

I colored the Lemonade Stampin' with Stampin' Blends, then fussy cut it and mounted it on a happy piece of Pineapple Punch Designer Paper.  As a finishing touch, I added Lemon Lime Twist ribbon and Iridescent Sequins.

I took great satisfaction stamping "Homes for Haiti" with the Make a Difference stamp set.  It's just such a fun addition to the Lemonade stand.
Color ThrowdownA Big Thanks to Color Throwdown for today's Color Challenge.  The cheerful colors were perfect for today's card.

Thanks for stopping by Stamping Country.  Have a Sun Shiny Day!
