Ready for Christmas Cookies in a Jar-12 Weeks of Christmas

Ready for Christmas Cookies in a Jar

Hello Friends,

Looking for Gift Ideas that you can make?  Try these Ready for Christmas Cookies in a Jar.  That plate of cookies stamp from the Ready for Christmas stamp set was just begging to be used for my Cookies in a Jar this year.  And the little dog eagerly looking on is just too cute.  I once had a dog that helped himself to a whole tray of cookies.  I was not pleased.

By the way, these Ready For Christmas Cookies in a Jar are my Week 6 Project for 12 Weeks of Christmas.  Click the 12 Weeks of Christmas Category on the right hand side of this blog to see all of my 12 Weeks of Christmas projects.

Ready for Christmas Stampin' Up!

The tags were my favorite part of this project.  They gave me another excuse to play with my new Stampin' Blends.  It was very therapeutic coloring all these sweet little tags.  I not only colored all the stamped images with my Blends, but I also colored the background.  Let me just say, the Stampin' Blends background looks way, way better than a sponged background.  Love my blendies!

Ready for Christmas Cookies in a Jar

Cookies in a Jar Recipe

1 1/3 cup all purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 cup Oatmeal
3/4 cup m&ms
3/4 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
1/2 cup brown sugar (packed)
1/2 cup white sugar

Empty the contents of the jar into a mixing bowl and add 1 slightly beaten egg, 1/2 Cup soft butter and 1 teaspoon vanilla.  Mix well.  Roll into 1-1/2" balls and bake 10 minutes in a 350 degree oven.  Makes just over 2 Dozen Cookies.  Yummy!  Hint: Pack each layer  in the jar before adding the next layer.

Have a fabulous day,

Cookie Cutter Christmas Card & Craft Room Update

Cookie Cutter Christmas Stampin' Up!

Hello Friends,

Today, it's a quick and easy card made with the Cookie Cutter Stamp set, the Cookie Cutter Builder Punch and the Merry Music specialty Designer Series paper.  Love this black and white paper printed with traditional Christmas Carols.  And with 24 sheets per package, that's a lot of fun paper crafts just waiting to happen.

I'm really crushing on the new Stampin' Blends.  Just look at how fabulous Mr. Reindeer looks.  Stampin' Blends are our new Alcohol based markers that bring out the artist in everyone.  They are really quite simple to use.  Find out More About them here.

A quick and simple card was just what the doctor called for today, because......

Craft Room Floor

things have been insane here lately.  My craft room is currently spread out through out my house, because everything has been displaced for renovation.  It's really hard to lay new wood floor with things in the room.  Isn't Joe awesome!!! Wow, is that floor sharp!

Craft Room Color Change

And naturally if I'm going to have new flooring, that means that it's time for a color change and a whole new look.  Did I mention that I'm doing 2 huge craft shows coming up in the next 2 weekends.  Oh the challenges, but it will be worth it in the end.  I do have a new camera mount for making video tutorials scheduled for delivery today!  So hopefully, I will be able to post some new tutorials for you very soon.

Have a fabulous weekend,

Simple Saturday Card-Life in the Forest

Life in the Forest

What is it about the Life in the Forest stamp set that makes it so fun to color?  This really is a simple card if you consider coloring relaxing and you don't mind fussy cutting.  Love the look of the cream newsprint and the crisp white together.  You may not be able to tell it from the picture, but my card is slightly oversized (4-1/2" x 6").  Confession, the typeset paper was an after thought.

Life in the Forest

Hey There, it's November.  Can you believe it?  If you don't already own the Word Bubble Framelits, they're a wonderful go to set and they are on the Stampin' Up! Weekly Deals this week.

We're waiting on news of the birth of newest granddaughter today.  More about that tomorrow.  Don't you feel a Baby Girl Card coming on?

Have a fabulous day,
