Ready for Christmas Cookies in a Jar-12 Weeks of Christmas

Ready for Christmas Cookies in a Jar

Hello Friends,

Looking for Gift Ideas that you can make?  Try these Ready for Christmas Cookies in a Jar.  That plate of cookies stamp from the Ready for Christmas stamp set was just begging to be used for my Cookies in a Jar this year.  And the little dog eagerly looking on is just too cute.  I once had a dog that helped himself to a whole tray of cookies.  I was not pleased.

By the way, these Ready For Christmas Cookies in a Jar are my Week 6 Project for 12 Weeks of Christmas.  Click the 12 Weeks of Christmas Category on the right hand side of this blog to see all of my 12 Weeks of Christmas projects.

Ready for Christmas Stampin' Up!

The tags were my favorite part of this project.  They gave me another excuse to play with my new Stampin' Blends.  It was very therapeutic coloring all these sweet little tags.  I not only colored all the stamped images with my Blends, but I also colored the background.  Let me just say, the Stampin' Blends background looks way, way better than a sponged background.  Love my blendies!

Ready for Christmas Cookies in a Jar

Cookies in a Jar Recipe

1 1/3 cup all purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 cup Oatmeal
3/4 cup m&ms
3/4 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
1/2 cup brown sugar (packed)
1/2 cup white sugar

Empty the contents of the jar into a mixing bowl and add 1 slightly beaten egg, 1/2 Cup soft butter and 1 teaspoon vanilla.  Mix well.  Roll into 1-1/2" balls and bake 10 minutes in a 350 degree oven.  Makes just over 2 Dozen Cookies.  Yummy!  Hint: Pack each layer  in the jar before adding the next layer.

Have a fabulous day,

 Newfeichtsiggy
